In the first quarter of 2024, Brazil's leading consumer finance applications on the iOS platform showed varied trends in downloads and weekly active users. Sensor Tower's data offers a glimpse into these apps' performance during this period.
Nubank - Conta e Cartão witnessed a fluctuation in downloads, starting strong at 130K in the first week of January, peaking at 174K in the second week, and then dipping to 111K by the end of March. Weekly active users for Nubank started at 10M in January, experienced a slight increase to 10.4M, and then decreased to 9.8M by the end of March.
For PicPay: Conta, Cartão e Pix, downloads began at 60K, reaching a high of 75K in mid-March, and then slightly declined to 68K by March's end. The weekly active users showed a steady increase from 1.7M to 1.8M in early March, before declining to 1.7M.
Mercado Pago: cuenta digital had consistent downloads throughout the quarter, hovering around the 60K to 67K range, with a slight drop to 56K in the last week of March. Active users increased from 1.2M to a high of 1.3M in early March, then decreased to 1.2M by the quarter's end.
CAIXA showed a gradual increase in downloads from 62K to 72K over the quarter, while the weekly active users saw a peak of 1.4M in early March before settling back to 1.3M.
Lastly, Banco Santander Brasil downloads started at 44K, peaked at 52K in the second week of January, and ended at 47K. Its weekly active users maintained a steady base, hovering around 2M throughout the quarter.
